Foundation Engineering is a degree course for civil engineering majors in college. It is a continuous program after the course Soil Mechanics, which teaches the basic theory of soil mechanics. It includes the site and ground investigation, shallow foundations, pile foundations, deep foundations, ground improvement and composite ground etc. It helps students to grasp the basic skill for the design of foundation engineering.
